Helping to Turn The Tide on family violence in northwest Auckland.

Auckland

This is the second year I've helped organise the Turning The Tide Fundraising Walk - a 17-kilometre fundraising walk the length of Muriwai Beach on behalf of the local women's refuge.

Your support will help us raise the funds we need to employ a male advocate to work with men in our community, both users and receivers of violence.

For too many people violence in the home is their 'normal'. It's not normal. There is a better way.

Rochelle Gillespie's involvement (page creator)

As a board member of Kia Timata Ano Trust, I'm immensely proud of the mahi of the small but dedicated team of trustees and staff who work every day to make life better for those who are living with violence. Family violence is not okay. It should not be anyone's 'normal'.
