Izzy and Mia’s Walk With a Purpose

$395 of $250 goal
Given by 11 generous donors in 17 days

To help raise money towards the goal of providing 220 families with a 10kg bag of rice.

Canterbury

The Cody household is busy making plans for Christmas Day and the Christmas holidays. We realise how blessed we are to be able to do this in 2020 when many families are facing this time unsure of whether or not there will be something to eat.

On Wednesday 9 December at 6am Izzy and Mia will begin walking 10km to school in acknowledgment of the walk the children from The Fountain of Peace school do each way everyday in Uganda. Walking to school each day not only ensures the children receive an education, it also means they receive perhaps their only meal of the day, a bowl of porridge.

There are many others participating in 10km walks around the globe with the goal of raising $5,500. The money raised through these walks will go directly to providing the 220 school families with what is considered a luxury item of a 10kg bag of rice.
