An ultramarathon run fundraising for Alex's fight against Cancer.
Wellington
My good friends the Chiet family recently had to uproot their lives and move to Canada when they found out Alex - a loving husband, father of three young children and all-round great guy - was diagnosed with palliative cholangiocarcinoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. Moving to Canada is their last hope to seek out specialist care and treatment.
To help raise funds for Alex's treatment and to support his family while they are overseas, I am going to run my first ever ultramarathon. A fat 50km run.
I will be running the 50kms on Saturday 8th June.
Please donate whatever you can to show your support.
50km Done! 9 June 2024
Thank you all so much again for donating - job done! I finished the 50km yesterday alongside a great support crew.
Please keep Alex and his family in your thoughts and prayers. Your donations have provided support to them during this heartbreaking time.
You can see updates from his family over on their main donation page here: https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/support-alexs-cancer-treatment-and-help-his-family
