Jessica's 24km Challenge.

I will be running 2km every hour for 12 hours to fundraise for the Salvation Army.

Auckland

As part of my NCEA level 2 studies in Outdoor Education, we are required to give back and get involved in the community. For this, I have chosen this challenge to test myself both physically and mentally by running, jogging or walking 2km every hour on the hour for 12 hours on Saturday the 9th of May. I will run my first 2km at 6am, and will run my last 2km at 6pm, which will add up to a total of 24km. The funds I raise from this will go to the Salvation Army food bank to assist families that may be struggling during these tough times.

I have chosen to fundraise for the Salvation Army because I feel it is important to help assist families and those who are struggling especially during these tough circumstances that come as a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic. The Salvation Army helps comfort and support kiwi families by providing essential items such as food, personal care items, pantry staples and cleaning items when they need it the most.

I would love to do my part in the community and help fundraise for the Salvation army.
