Well things are certainly hussing along very quickly now! Our first draft health and safety plan for the event has been looked over by the good folks at GWRC and they're happy for the most part, encouragingly the ranger in charge of the forest we're using has been extremely helpful in making sure we get this right and offering assistance.
An event sponsor has agreed to come on board and cover the event under their Public Liability Insurance. To be honest this is the biggest weight off my shoulders and thanks so much to the numerous people who offered to help with this, it's really been awesome and I'm super stoked to have it sorted.
A huuuuuge number of you have reached out and are planning on being here for support at the event, that's massive. I'm so humbled and thankful. You guys are all legends and it's you that's making the event possible, I legitimately can not complete it without you.
So what remains? Well less than four weeks out, it's just ride, ride, ride from here on in for me. With the major paperwork pretty much sorted, all I have to focus on is pedaling, and believe me I love to pedal. That's easy.
What can you do? If you haven't already and intend on doing so, please donate via the givealittle link. If many people donate a few buck each, we'll easily smash our target. If you've donated to this awesome cause or even if you can't donate, please share the link telling your friends why you believe in it and why it would be awesome if they could chuck a couple of bucks too.
Most importantly, from the bottom of my heart, thank you to each and every one of you who's following the page, making donations, volunteering to help and spreading the word. Love you guys so much for the support.
