Jordan off to the hard places

Hi! My name is Jordan,

I am a full-time missionary at YWAM Nelson, I'm fundraising for my missions' trip to the 10 40 window, for those that are unaware the 10 40 window is the area of the world that is most unreached and is where the hardest places on earth are to be a Christian, or they haven't ever heard the good news.

We will be traveling to 4 countries through the middle of Asia, but I have to be careful on what i say as I don't want to cause any issues for us or our contacts, so I'll update this page as we leave each country for safety reasons.

We're currently in the process of talking with contacts and defining what we will be doing in each country, but I know for sure we'll be bringing the good news to these countries in ways that are tailored specifically for each one.

Here at YWAM Nelson we are very aware of the importance of cultural appropriation and the damage that has been done in the past by missionaries who basically forced their culture and their way of doing things onto the countries that they were reaching out too, there's an amazing book called "when helping hurts" and this book does a great job at explaining about why you can't just throw money or clothes at a country like Africa, because unless you understand what the real need is you'll end up doing more hurt than help.
