SHAVE FOR A CHANGE: Things are getting sillier, I'm shaving my head for Syria.

Otago

In 3 weeks time people will be asking me why I shaved my head. I may answer with any of, or a combination of, the following reasons:

To fundraise for a more than worthwhile cause. Syria's children are heading into their 5th year of displacement, insecurity and uncertainty. These are children not too different from us; daughters of dentists and accountants, sons of teachers and store owners. Their families have been left with very little, and even less hope. Why wouldn't you help if you could?

To carry tradition. My sister shaved her head before graduating from university... granted she was studying in Palmerston North.
