Katy is cycling 3,500 miles to raise awareness and discuss how to prevent suicide.

I will be cycling around the coast of the UK, roughly 3,500 miles to raise money and awareness of mental health. I worked for Bike House Dunedin but am currently back in the UK with family. Suicide and mental health effects so many people, everywhere so if people in NZ want to donate, then i'd like it to go to Life Matters, a charity who I admired when I was in Dunedin.

This won’t be a solo mission, I’d love it if friends, family, strangers could join me along the way.

I want this to be a safe space for people to talk. If you have lost someone to suicide, or are dealing with your own mental health struggles or you just want time to be outside in nature, please join me 🙏

I lost my dad to suicide when I was 17. I find it very difficult to talk about it but I am ready to talk about it and I’m ready to help. And hopefully I can help others along the way.

I want this ride to encourage people to get outdoors. Being active, getting outdoors and being with a community I feel is some of the best things for our mental health.
