100 mentoring sessions for rangatahi

$935 of $5,000 goal
Given by 20 generous donors in 17 days

Create change for rangatahi in Upper Hutt by providing mentoring sessions for them.

Upper Hutt, Wellington

Kickstart believes in a thriving community of young people for Upper Hutt. We know that COVID19 and other stresses have impacted rangatahi in our community hugely. We have seen numerous young people struggling with mental health, difficult whanau situations and a lack of motivation or engagement with education in this extremely difficult time.

You can help us make a difference for them. We know that putting a positive adult role model alongside a vulnerable young person makes a world of difference. We can see evidence of this through the young people we have worked with, providing one on one mentoring over the past seven years.

We have a team of trained and awesome staff ready to go, to provide mentoring to rangatahi in our community. We just need the funds to be able to do it. You can check out our team here: https://www.kickstart.org.nz/staff

We believe that every young person should be given the opportunity to thrive and be supported. To this end, our campaign is to raise funds for 100 mentoring sessions with young people. You can make a tangible difference in the life of a young person by donating to this cause.

Can you donate for a full mentoring session, or pitch in with someone else to help us reach our target? Every bit helps.

Donated money will be spent on youth workers’ wages to do one on one mentoring sessions with rangatahi in our Upper Hutt Community
