Raising funds for the Auckland Kidney Society to support families effected through Renal Disease
Auckland
I’m doing the Auckland half marathon in October this year with my darling wife Denise to raise funds for the Auckland Kidney Society, who do an amazing job supporting people effected through kidney disease from Northland through to the Central North Island.
My journey with renal failure started when I was a baby where I was placed in hospital with feeding issues, subsequently leading to blood test in my teens and a biopsy in my early twenties where I was diagnosed with IGA Nephropathy and told that I would require a Kidney Transplant later in life.
Due to deteriorating health conditions, I had a pre-emptive kidney transplant courtesy of my brother in September of 2010, and have been supported ever since by a team of professional and caring staff who have been nothing but amazing.
I am wanting to raise $2000 to support families living with Kidney Disease through access to a range of resources and programmes, so please dig deep and support me and Denise in achieving our goal.
Every dollar you donate makes a tangible difference, helping the Auckland Kidney Society support those affected by kidney disease to have the best quality of life.
I joined the Auckland Kidney Board 10 + years ago with a with a goal of giving back for the great support I have had on my renal journey.
