Help me support the Malcam Trust in Toss the Boss 2016!

Otago

If you are familiar with the Dunedin student flat market, you will be familiar with “The Sievwrights”. Brothers Lane and Clayton, who are responsible for nearly three quarters of student flat sales in the city. For as long as I can remember, our family has been involved in student flats. The student rental market was something I grew up with and was often the topic of conversation.

Fast forward a few years and it’s probably no surprise that, here I am: a property consultant, specialising in investment property, own my own student flats and a landlord.

I’ve been selling property for twelve years now. In my previous life, I was with the New Zealand Police and, earlier still, the banking sector. I completed an Otago commerce degree, majoring in financial management. Its turned out to be a useful base, when it comes to analysing property investment proposals and helping buyers and sellers work through “what stacks up”.

While student rental investments are a significant part of our work, a good percentage of our sales are in family homes and inner city rental investment properties, beyond the campus area.

My work philosophy is simple: Be up front and

honest. And always do your best by all clients.

I'll be abseiling from the roof of Forsyth Barr Stadium 37 metres to the pitch below, fundraising for the Malcam Charitable Trust. All funds raised will go towards providing the youth of Otago experiences that enable them to discover who they are, and where they fit in.
