Getting Active for Lara Animal Rescue
I'm competing in Round the Bays an 8.4km fun run/walk and want to make a difference by fundraising for charity.

On Sunday 5th March 2017 - I will be competing in Round the Bays. I'm not an athlete - I'm just an average everyday person wanting to make a difference.
I have done this a few times but decided this year to fundraise for a charity - upon research - I came across LARA Animal Rescue and Farm Sanctuary - the only rescue whose focus is rehoming farm animal/lifestyle pets.
I chose this charity as they are small/unknown and different to the other charities - also due to closure of the Waikato SPCA - they now have many more animals looking for homes and they're running out of space!
Every little bit helps! The money from donations will go towards building extra shelters to house the animals, upgrade current housing, medications, vet bills and the list goes on!
