Lauren's chance to live fundraiser

Clique Babe Lauren Wylie was one of our lovely ladies featured in our Breast Cancer stories in 2022's sweater fundraiser.

Just after celebrating her 30th birthday Lauren received the crushing blow of a shock cancer diagnosis. After gruelling months of treatments she had beaten it, and two years on life was starting to return to normal, her health was improving and her immune system finally rebuilding.

Recently, Lauren has been delivered the cruelest blow of a further cancer diagnosis, a return of a tumour in the breast, with metastasis in the lung, stage 4. The plan for surgery is no longer viable. Her best fighting chance is immunotherapy treatment, Pembrolizumab which is not funded in New Zealand and comes at a cost of around $70,000. Overseas options are also being investigated.
