Lauren's trip to India.

I have had the opportunity to join a team from Aotearoa to go visit communities in India (Kolkata and Manipur) where Open Home Foundation International is established. OHFI is an organisation that is dedicated to walking alongside local organisation's in vulnerable areas around the world to help support create self-sustaining benefits for their communities. They support children and their families with social work support, health care clinics, tuition centres and schools; in hope they can have equal opportunity and protection.

I, alongside 10 others are heading over next year to grow in understanding of different cultures and learn alongside locals how we can best care and support these communities. I hope to maintain connections with those I meet and share their stories back home here in Aotearoa.

I am taking part in a triathlon at the end of the year to try raise funds for my travel and equipment for the communities we visit. Any donations are hugely appreciated.
