The event "Leap for Life" raises funds for Mercy Hospice who provide palliative care and hospice services.
Auckland
Mercy Hospice Auckland and Skydive Auckland have partnered up and created a fundraising event called Leap for Life.
All proceeds go to Mercy Hospice so that they can continue to provide a range of palliative care and hospice services for people facing life limiting illnesses.
The services provided are free to patients and their families and the. To make this possible, Mercy Hospice need to raise over $2 million every year to provide a full hospice service.
The difference this kind of care makes to a life is incredibly valuable so I am looking for sponsors.
On the 26th of June, I will do the highest tandem skydive in the southern hemisphere (which is 20,000 feet!) along with the other jumpers who are raising money for this amazing non profit organisation.
As a support worker, I have a strong understanding and appreciation of what organisations such Mercy Hospice achieve for their patients.
Update. 23 June 2020
I have deposited some cash donations today, direct to Mercy Hospice, and want the goal here to reflect where we are up to.
Thank you!
