Leigh Rides for Hope – Taupō Gravel Challenge

Hey,

I’m Leigh—owner of Wai-Secure, a small security business based in the Wairarapa. On Saturday, November 29th, 2025, I’ll be riding the Lake Taupō Gravel Grind—an 83km challenge with 977m of climbing, crossing gravel roads, private farm tracks, mountain bike trails, and sealed roads.

I’ll be riding alongside a few mates, but I’m fundraising solo to support I AM HOPE, helping fund free mental health counselling for young Kiwis across Aotearoa.

It’s a tough ride—steep climbs, rugged terrain, and a whole lot of grit. But it’s nothing compared to what some young people face every day.
