Welcome to Life's Highway which has been set up so that Jackie Woodley can raise money for Gumboot Friday. How's Jackie doing this? Well she's walking the length of New Zealand from Bluff to Cape Reinga! Through her journey she wants to 'rip the band-aid' off suicide and mental health in New Zealand and get New Zealanders talking about this subject.
Too many people are losing their lives to suicide and many more are suffering mental health issues. It not only affects the people suffering directly, but their family and friends. It affects peoples ability to function day to day and impacts their education, their relationships, their work and their own wellbeing.
We all know at least one person who has been affected by suicide and mental health - lets work together to raise awareness, talk about it and bring some much needed money to Gumboot Friday.

Hey Everyone. I want to thank all of you who have generously donated to the Give A Little Page.
My intention had been to raise awareness about mental health and suicide, by walking the length of New Zealand and to raise money for GumBoot Friday.
I am still going to be doing the walk and raising awareness of mental health and suicide, however, due to a change in situation I have decided to change the charity who I am raising money for.
All money raised to date, $5,100, has gone directly to GumBoot Friday, which I am sure they are appreciative of. I will be closing this current Give A Little Page on Friday 18 February 2022.
All going well with my training, I hope to begin my walk mid-March.
