The Hector's extinction would be tragic, and in addition to being so special, they also are part of our coastal ecosystem; in an ecosystem, when one part is affected, the whole thing takes a blow.

I live in Christchurch and attend Burnside HS. Everyone knows and loves the Hector's dolphins but most people don't realise that these unique dolphins are threatened with extinction - I decided to do something about it and am helping Aescleah with the Walk for Hector's in March.

Unfortunately I've been informed I can't go on the walk, as it is a school day. Oh, well, must keep on. I'll be helping out with the 1 hour walk on March 6th instead.
