Help me raise much needed funds for Mothers Helpers. They help mums with perinatal depression through counselling, courses and support.

Nationwide

I need your help!

I've been chosen to be a Charity Ambassador Mothers Helpers! Their goal is to prevent perinatal (antenatal and postnatal) depression and anxiety from occurring and to reduce the impact it has. They do this by providing free/affordable counseling, courses, support, and practical help for mums who need it.

This past year they helped 150 mothers across NZ. But, every year 11,000 Kiwi women experience perinatal depression & anxiety. About 75% (or 8000 mothers) of them don't meet the very narrow criteria for maternal mental health, and there is virtually no funded treatment available beyond medication. About two-thirds (or 7300 mothers) will experience delays in diagnosis and treatment, resulting in their child becoming at risk of serious cognitive, emotional, mental, and behavioral issues. The effects are far-reaching and can be very detrimental to the mother, child and family.

The money raised will ensure that Mothers Helpers can intervene earlier and help more women and their families to recover from perinatal depression or anxiety.

My aim is to raise over $10,000 to support the amazing work they do. Please help me support mums!

As a bonus, Mothers Helpers have been lucky enough to have been selected to partner with Charity TV Productions. There are 12 of us Charity Ambassadors each raising $10,000 for Mothers Helpers. In September 2019, we Ambassadors will go to a mystery location with the international Charity TV crew filming us doing crazy, life-changing things. The end result will screen on TV2 and the purpose of this is to raise further awareness of Mothers Helpers in a fun, inspirational and big way.

The more people that know about Mothers Helpers, the greater their impact; so, please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends, family and networks.

If you know of any businesses or organisations who would like to sponsor me and have their brand promoted on TV (via me wearing their logo on my shirt!) and through PR media releases, please ask them to contact me directly.

Thank you sincerely for your generosity and kind support. It means a lot!

Such an amazing cause. I was very depressed when pregnant with our second child. It's not a nice feeling when "it's all in your head". It's not and you are not alone. So much love to all the parents out there.
