"The Longest day of Golf" will see me tee off 7.30am and play golf all day long, in support of my husband and Parkinson's NZ
Nationwide
I am raising awareness of Parkinson's for my husband Philip who was diagnosed with Parkinson's three years ago.
"The Longest day of Golf" will see me tee off 7.30am and play golf all day long on Thursday March 4th, 2021 at Masterton Golf Course.
I want to raise funds to support the Parkinson's Nursing services and Parkinson's activities in the Wairarapa. Our Parkinson's Nurse, Jane Flowerday, put this idea in my head in the first place, then my lovely golfing friend encouraged me further.
I was proud to be awarded the QSM for serving the Fijian community in Wellington on a voluntary basis for more than 20 years. As a Fijian, I hope to have the support of my wonderful friends, the community and my Fijian family.
There is no cure for Parkinson's yet, so our Parkinson's Nurse is so valuable to the Wairarapa community, and we need your support!
I hope that I can do this with supporters joining me on the course to cheer me on throughout the day and for refreshments and the draw of the raffle at 7pm in the golf clubrooms.
Longest day of golf challenge with Tee-off time: 7:30 am & finishing at dusk
