Fundraising for Wellington Free Ambulance
Wellington
For my 20th birthday, I want to make a difference and raise money for an organisation that has been a huge part of my journey over the last 5 years of being extremely chronically ill and disabled.
The organisation is the Wellington Free Ambulance.
I am diagnosed with complex conditions that make my body extremely weak and unstable, meaning my joint’s sublux & dislocate, I am prone to injuries, so having strong but gentle staff who are willing to learn about each patients individual needs and the best way to care for them is so important.
This service has been a life saver for me. I have sadly spent several years of my life in and out of hospital and WFA have always been there. I can not leave my house without being heavily sedated and transferred from my bed onto a stretcher and into an ambulance. I can not stand, I can not sit up, I can not even lay on my side by myself. So that makes ambulance transfers a difficult process, but over the years we have found safer and more effective ways to get me into the ambulance and into hospital. I am so thankful for the ambulance staff who help me every step of the way.
We are so incredibly lucky to have this free ambulance service in the Wellington region, they help so many people and I want to do anything I can to help raise awareness of how incredible this vital service is and raise some funds to help support them.
I want to thank you in advance for anything you can donate, and please share with friends & family.
Love Luce

Lucy’s mum Sarah here.
Lucy’s blown away be the support you gave all given to WFA!! Thanks so so much!
(Luce has crashed badly, and isn’t up to responding at the moment.. unfortunately part of her condition means any exertion- physical, mental or emotional causes her to crash for days or weeks..)
Sending love xx
