After kicking cancers ass, I want to raise some money for those whom are still fighting the battle.
Canterbury
With your love & support, in 2011, we raised $1600 for Camp Quality, and again, in 2014, $2720 for CanTeen New Zealand.
This year, in the tenth anniversary of my fight with Bowel Cancer, I am shaving my head in memory of my Gran, Nancy Pike, whom also fought and won her own battle with Cancer - Breast Cancer.
This is for all the woman who are fighting the battle, who have won the battle or have sadly lost the battle. It's my way of giving back, I swore when I was going through the absolute unrelenting hell of chemo that no matter what I would spend my life doing something to help others going through the same thing.
On what would have been my Gran's birthday, October 15th, my hair will be shaved then sent to Dunedin to be made into wigs ( I have been shampooing, conditioning and brushing my hair so its in peak condition for the shave ).
We have until October 14th to raise as much money as possible, I am aiming for $5000 so share this page as much as possible, tell your friends, family & workmates, even grab strangers in the street if you want. $5000 is ambitious, but as you know, its a very worthwhile cause.
I am shaving my head! It's all going!
