Please donate to dementia and Alzheimers Disease. I would like to fundraise to help with care and towards a long-term cure.

From a young age I saw the terrible impact of dementia with my grandparents. My grandfather contracted the disease in his early sixties. For the remaining years of his life he lost the memories which he spent a life time creating and gradually lost his independence.

This is just one example of how this terrible illness affected one family not to mention millions of others all over the world (including my wife's and friend's families).

I would like to raise money for two good charities in New Zeeland to support ongoing care and treatment for patients. They are Dementia Canterbury and Alzheimer's NZ.

I have a great passion for running. I find it a fantastic way to keep fit, while maintaining good mental health and wellbeing.

On 18th July I will be participating in the Mackenzie 1/2 Marathon in Fairlie, Canterbury. I'm challenging myself to complete the race and finish with a good time, while raising money for charity.

I would appreciate any support to help raise money for two such worthy causes.
