Erin's Half-Marathon for Make-A-Wish Foundation

$162 donated
Given by 11 generous donors in 5 weeks

I'm going to run a half-marathon to raise money for the Make-A-Wish foundation.

Otago

On the 10th of September this year I will be running the Dunedin Cadbury half-marathon to raise as much money as I can for Make-A-Wish foundation. Make-A-Wish have a mission of granting wishes to sick children here in New Zealand. This is a cause I am very honoured to raise funds for and has motivated me to train harder. So get amongst it! Every little bit helps to make a big difference so please donate! Thank you for your support!

Erin Scott's involvement (page creator)

I wanted to complete my first half-marathon to challenge myself. While I was deciding whether to do it or not, I saw a man dressed as a dinosaur raising money for the Make-A-Wish foundation. He said that Make-A-Wish don't have the funds to grant to wishes of all the terminally ill children in New Zealand. After that, there was no way I could not get involved, raising money by running a half-marathon was a way I can help. I want to raise as much funds as I can for this foundation because the brave kiwi kids it helps deserve to have their wishes granted.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
