Well, I did it! What an experience. I struggled in the latter stages and was in quite a bit of pain, but got over the line. Thank you all very much for the support and generosity. Awesome!🙂
Firstly, thank you to those that have generously made a donation. It's awesome. To those still wanting to there is still time.
As far as my preparation is concerned, it has been alright. I have recently done a couple of runs over 30 km, one of 35km, so that is good. I have had a few obstacles to overcome along the way, mostly injuries and at times just plain worn out ( I have been training since September). I feel it good nick now so just have to get to the start line now without doing anything silly. I am pretty confident that I can complete the run now, it will just take me quite awhile at my old man shuffle pace.
