Fundraising for Parkinson's New Zealand
Queenstown, Otago
My Dad had been diagnosed with Parkinsons 3 years ago. I moved to New Zealand to help him keep fit. We train together consistently 3 times per week. As there is no cure for Parkinson's yet. The aim for doing the fundraiser is to help raise funds for an organisation that helps many others just like my father, with research, education and to be able to fund for support when needed.
Parkinson’s fundraiser 1 November 2023
I’m running the Queenstown Marathon in honour of my father who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s 3 years ago. I’m a big believer in Movement Is Medicine which is why I am in NZ, training my father every week and helping slow down the symptoms of Parkinson’s from taking over. And using this marathon as a way to raise money for this charity. Every little bit helps! Help by donating to this page to contribute towards Parkinson’s New Zealand! 12,000 individuals every year are diagnosed with this degenerative condition. And it’s only expected to increase significantly over the coming years. All proceeds go towards Parkinson’s New Zealand to help spread awareness, provide more resources and support.
I am training very hard to make sure I’m doing everyone’s contribution some justice! Please donate what you can and I’ll see you all at the finish line!
