From 5pm on Saturday the 16th of April, Alex Hart will attempt to set a record for laps up and down Mauao in a 24 hour period, finishing at 5pm on Sunday the 17th of April.

Natalia Kosinska has already qualified for the 2016 Olympic games, but narrowly missed New Zealand's higher selection and funding standards. All proceeds will go towards new windsurfing equipment, professional coaching, travel expenses, entry fees and insurance for Natalia to help her perform to the best of her ability at the ISAF World Cup in Hyeres, France, at the end of April - Her Last chance to meet selection and funding standards to represent New Zealand at the 2016 Olympic games in Rio!

The current record for Laps up and Down Mauao is 38 times in 28 hours.

Natalia Let me under her wing in the summer of 2013 and 2014 by letting me train with her almost everyday. She gave me lots of tips and advice that greatly improved my own windsurfing. I hope this will show Natalia I am still grateful, and that the New Zealand Windsurfing community sincerely wishes her the best!
