We are members of the first ever national teams to represent their country in the mighty game of fistball
Canterbury
Way back in 2016, it was discovered that New Zealand was lacking representation in the fine sport of fistball (currently played in over 60 countries around the world). A (small) number of dedicated kiwis decided that this just would not do, and have been working tirelessly to create a team that the nation can be proud of.
As all good NZ sports teams will know, one of the most important things you can do when representing your country, is to beat Australia.
And that's what we're trying to do.
On Waitangi weekend (just four weeks time!!) our team of fistballers are set to leave the beautiful shores of Aotearoa for a slightly larger, slightly warmer continent, with slightly more kangaroos. Once there, we will work our way towards bringing home a trophy (any trophy) that is befitting a quality NZ side.
This is where we need your help.
We have 21 committed kiwis travelling to Melbourne to represent our country in the first ever Trans-Tasman tournament (held over four days) and we need help raising money for the following costs:
-airfares
-accommodation
-food
-transport
-apparel
As a team with big dreams and non-existent budgets, we would greatly appreciate any help that we can get. If you've made it this far through the blurb the next logical thing would be to donate to this admirable cause.
Thank you all so much in advance, we really (seriously) can't do it without you.
Ross and I are both team members flying out to Melbourne on February 3rd
