Meg needs medical treatment and independent testing to find the source of her poisoning.

Nationwide

Meg was admitted to a vet in the West coast of the South Island the evening of Friday 4th January with suspected poisoning. This nearly didn't happen due to the vet demanding $450 to be paid prior to admission. They returned home devastated thinking they were going to lose Meg. Thanks to an amazing person, the deposit was paid and she was admitted last night.

Meg is still alive, but will need further treatment and possible transfer to a vet that will be more concerned about Meg's health over money. The current vet is already demanding more money 😥 A group of people are working tirelessly to provide support to Megs family, but funds have been exhausted. We need a vet that will investigate the very real possibility of poisoning and that the delay by being turned away because of money saw her detriorate very quickly nearly costing her , her life

Ban 1080 - South Island is supporting Meg due to her relationship to one of our admins and possible secondary poisoning. Megs owner is not too well himself, is susceptible to heart attacks, and his daughter is worried that he may suffer illness if anything untoward was to happen to his baby girl. Please help us to help this family. They have already suffered the loss of their beloved cat the day prior to this incident.
