Our mission is to re-home pets that need a second chance, into loving homes, where they can live happy lives.

Operated entirely by volunteers, often via funding from their own pockets, Furever Homes has rehomed many dogs, cats and even horses as well as helped lost pets be reunited with their owners.

We rescue dogs from many council pounds as well as from bad situations all around New Zealand.

As we do not charge a fee for adopting a dog we are reliant on donations of food, time, money and anything else a pet needs.

Furever Homes NZ is lucky to have a number of business supporting us, many of which do not want to be named.

We have many kind foster carers who open their home to pets and spend many hours, weeks and even months preparing the animal for a forever home.

Despite being based in Invercargill we operate nationwide, working with many councils throughout New Zealand to get the best outcome for the animal.

Volunteers are responsible for running Furever Homes where a lot of the time expenses are paid for directly from their own pockets along with the great assistance provided by supporters.

There has been many dogs & cats rescued, rehomed and saved from destruction by Furever Homes with great foster carers taking them on until homes are found.

Along with this there has been a great number of lost or found pets returned home through the very large following Furever Homes has gained.
