Admit it! Haven't we all wanted to throw our boss off a big height at some time in our careers?
Mike is the General Manager at OceanaGold Macraes and has been in the mining industry ever since the Flintstones wore nappies.
Whilst working around the world, Mike has immersed himself within a melting pot of cultures, and along with raising his own family, he has always been supportive and encouraging of youth and young adults within the communities he has lived.
All children need to be encouraged and supported during their early years, it allows them to develop within themselves and use the knowledge, skills and experiences to flourish as young people.
At our Macraes Operation we annually support our local schools and work alongside other educational groups to nurture youth in the community.
Mike says this is a great opportunity for people to support the youth of our community and encourages people to contribute. “We can all help to make a difference”.

Toss the Boss 2022 is on! Support our locals as they take up the challenge of abseiling 35 meters from the Forsyth Barr Stadium rafters!
