I am presently the interim general manager of this fine organisation (syd), having taken the role as a care taker since December 2024. Being in this role has shown me how important it is that we do this mahi with the rangatahi of Waitaki, Ōtepoti, and the Tokomairiro district. Supporting genuine well-being, and inspiring success filled futures takes passion, dedication and the willingness to go just that little bit further to make a real difference. These are the qualities of the team at syd, and as it has been my privilege to work alongside them for the last 5 months, so, stepping off the gantry at the Forsyth Barr Stadium to help raise much needed funds that will help them do their job, is also my privilege. So please get behind me and ask those that are doing this for future of the next generation.
