21.1km. 1hr 33m 28s Thoroughly worked. 2 June 2014
Yesterday I was vomiting and was set to pull out of the Christchurch Half Marathon.; Kirstin joked it was nerves, and she was partly right, but Ocean having been home from school for the last three days, was surely the disease spreading monkey responsible. I woke this morning feeling ok so I had no excuses. I threw down some breakfast, and just made the start. The first and last 3km were the hardest, and I very nearly opted out at the 10km turn around; glad I didnft. Thanks to the event organisers for a great day, my wife and son for being there at the finish line, and cheers to some of my fellow Achilles team mates who I met for the first time today. Proud of you all and look forward to the next event. Cheers to SOS and Puma who are confirmed sponsors of our team thus far and of course to all those who have contributed here on Give a Little thus far. You all rock! Ifve got my benchmark now. LOTS of work to do before New York!
