What better way to fundraise for the Nelson Marlborough Helicopter, than by riding a motorbike? Without the chopper, so many of the things we do every day, be it motorbike riding, being down the bay, or just living in the top of the South, we’d be pretty isolated. So I’m riding 245km on a mini bike with a very uncomfortable seat and questionable maintenance carried out, normally by mates as I have no mechanical skills. So if me and the bike make it, and we’ll try our best, it’d be great if you could make a small donation.

I made it! 26 March 2023
While the little blue Z50 only made it as far as Motueka River West Bank Rd, a mate came and swapped the bikes for my modern Monkey and I got to carry on. The whole ride was great, a few others broke down but we all made it back to the Speights Ale House at the end of the day. Thank you all that supported me.

There’ll only ever be one person I know of brave enough to wrestle a shark and then have to fly the rescue helicopter home. Thank you for you donation oh brave warrior!
