The Nelson Marlborough Westpac Rescue Helicopter service saves over 400 people every year. Surrounded by four National Parks a lot of our work is outdoor accidents or into isolated rural communities and hard to reach locations.
Established in 1991, we have saved 1,000s of lives throughout our region. We have been supported by our community through corporate sponsorship, local service groups, gaming machine grants, community grants and your donations.

We provide a professional air rescue service throughout the top of the South Island utilising am Airbus H145 helicopter - responding to over 400 callouts per annum, people needing urgent medical care and transportation.
