Alex's 100 km Bike Ride for the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter
Marlborough
My name is Alex and I am 12 years old and year 8 at Bohally Intermediate school in Blenheim.
I'm a keen mountain biker and as part of a physical challenge for school I have decided to bike 100 km from Lake Rotoiti to Blenheim in the July school holidays.
I thought it would also be good to use my challenge as a way to raise money for the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter Trust. Although mountain biking is very fun it can also be a dangerous sport with big accidents that sometimes need the rescue helicopter.
The Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter is vital to our region.
I would be very thankful if you can support me in my challenge by donating (big or small) to the trust.
Thank you
New goal set 30 April 2026
Thanks to everyone who has donated so generously. I want to be able to raise as much money for the Rescue Helicopter as I can so I have adjusted my goal.
Thanks Alex
