Nate Doggs IT Heavy Hitters Fundraising Page! All proceeds to The Key to Life Charitable Trust. Support me getting punched in the face!!
Auckland
SO I've decided to try Jump in the ring, and what better way to do so than to support an amazing cause at the same time!
IT Heavy Hitters is suicide prevention boxing fundraiser for The Key to Life Charitable Trust.
The IT Heavy Hitters events of the last few years have raised over $437,000 for The Key to Life Charitable Trust and we are currently working as a team to pull this together again. The Key to Life Charitable Trust is a registered charitable trust aiming to affect positive social change surrounding suicide prevention, suicide awareness and mental health in New Zealand. It's a great cause and we look forward to making a difference to those affected by these issues.
I'll be involved in a week training camp - during which I MAY be selected to fight on the 8th of May Auckland event. Whether I fight or whether I don't it's still an amazing cause to support and ANY money you donate would ahhhhmaaaaayzinnnng!
I'll keep you posted around if I get selected to fight. If I do I'll be auctioning off my fight Nickname AND Walkout music - So keep an eye on this page!
9 weeks to go! 8 March 2021
Team - Just thought I'd drop an update!
Firstly, the support I have received is AH-MAH-ZING. Thanks SO much for everyone who has so generously donated. It is appreciated beyond words and you have literally done something to improve suicide prevention, suicide awareness and mental health in New Zealand. You should be as proud of yourself as I am of you. And it's so humbling to know I've got so many people in my corner on this journey. Either that or ALOT of people want to see me get a hiding haha! Either way I'm very grateful for the support!
Progress report - I'm taking this camp super seriously and while the fights/fighters have not been announced yet I have been training like I'm stepping in the ring in weeks time. And the hardwork is paying off! I've lost 8 KGs and am in better shape than I have been for a long time. My fitness has improved heaps, I feel better/sharper/faster and my technique is improving too.
I'll keep you posted more regularly than I have been so watch this space!
