I'm doing this in memory of those who have had breast cancer who have touched my life and for a service that provides amazing support.
Bay of Plenty
I got prostate cancer myself in 2013 and went through treatment for it.
During the many hours of different treatment, I got to know quite a few women who had breast cancer at the same time and we got on very well with some becoming close friends.
They were being supported by the Breast Cancer Support Service and I was amazed at how the service gets behind the women and supports them.
I also know a few other women who have since got breast cancer and know the struggle they go through at times. I have supported the Prostate Cancer Society in the past and want to do this in support of all those who have not survived breast cancer as well as all those who are still battling this disease.
