Participating in Otara Young Leaders to represent our community at the 2024 Japan Youth Summit

Auckland

I am excited to hear that I have been selected alongside 11 of my incredible peers of young leaders under The Otara Youth Hub by the JYS Committee to attend the 2024 Japan Youth Summit in Osaka, JAPAN, 1-7 July 24 and represent the views and issues of our young people living in South Auckland.

The Japan Youth Summit is an initiative program by the Youth Break the Boundaries Foundation, which aspires to bring together outstanding young minds to collectively address future challenges and propose innovative solutions. Beyond individual brilliance, collaboration takes center stage, encouraging the commitment of young generations to collaborate for shared and improved goals. Our OYH selected Ambassadors will get to embark on the Japan Youth Summit for meaningful conversations on both local and global challenges, connect with young leaders globally, immerse themselves in diverse cultures, enhance leadership skills, and contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable future through collaborative youth-driven innovation for positive change.

I will have an incredible opportunity to share some of the challenges we face here in South Auckland and NZ wide and work alongside other like-minded young people around the world to find collaborative solutions together.
