Hi All, many thanks for all the wonderful donations coming in. I had a meet up with Habitat for Humanity recently to discuss the trip and fine tune some details. Sounds like there may be 15 of us in the group that go out to Fiji, which means we could be looking at building 3 houses in the 7 days and not just 1 house - that would be incredible and awsome. Thank you again... I have to go on a small shopping spree for the insect repellant!
Flights are now finalised and I will be leaving on teh 27th September at 8am from Auckland and flying to Nadi, then on to Labasa. I shall be returning to Auckland on the saturday 4th October at 2am.
Over the past year fundraising has included Cadbury's chocolate sales and sales of Auckland's entertainment books. My friends Suanna and Emma (sisters) have also held market stalls in Whangarei selling various items. Some of the money raised so far will be spilt between us but we are also fundraising separately.
All donations that were received on a previous fundraising page (now shut down by the web hosts) have already been forwarded to Habitat for Humanity NZ in my name. This presently stands at $400 (excluding chocolate sales)
