    I saw my onco-plastic surgeon today and can confirm I’m healing great. I just need the odd panadol, my bruises are fading, nausea gone (at last), I have some movement limitations, but I can wash my own hair!!! I can also start driving myself! I can basically fend for myself but I’m hoping you can help me out and share my fundraiser.   • All the goals!

    My fundraiser is going great and my surgery was a success! My symmetrising wise pattern mammoplasty (mini breast reduction) was on Wednesday morning and it went great. My onco-plastic surgeon reduced and lifted my non-cancer boob, so I have more symmetry with my cancer-treatment boob. Natural asymmetry, a lumpectomy and radiation left me healthy, but feeling lopsided. I’m now 300 grams lighter and already feel better (inside and out). Did you know you don’t have to have had cancer to want to live your breast life? It’s been great to talk about our health and our bodies with so many people lately. Even more importantly, it’s been wonderful to have conversations about the things we don’t think we can talk about 😳🤐🤔😊🥳 Get a conversation going by sharing my story - donations from $1 great appreciated!

  • My last treatment ever

    On my birthday two years ago, I got up, got dressed and took myself off to radiation therapy. As you do! It was a fun treatment because I knew my crew well and bought lollies and they played “Happy Birthday” for me as I walked into the treatment room! Then they put Sia on for my actual treatment. Yes, I wore a different wig or look for each of my 15 treatments. It’s fun to look back but I’m also mindful that tomorrow is (what I consider) my last treatment. Ever!!! Tomorrow I have elected to have an onco-plastic surgeon do a mini breast reduction on my non-cancer treatment boob. I feel a bit vein and shy about it, but I’m seeking some of the symmetry that my lumpectomy and radiation has taken away. Cheers to living my breast life? Would you share my story? 💖🧠🎀🍒🎀🧠💖

  • Belated update

    I was so excited on Sunday that I posted an update on socials, but not on here! Apologies! What got me so excited? I didn’t have a headache AT ALL. This might be the first headache-free weekend in four years. Wild. What’s also wild is that I’ve raised $350 already!!! (Now even MORE!) This includes an incredibly generous anonymous donation (that nearly made me cry). Thank you everyone for donating and sharing and supporting me. Yes, my fundraiser can be shared with your friends and family! Many, many thanks from one happy hobbit!
