Fundraising for Red Cross New Zealand Disaster Fund.
Christchurch, Canterbury
This first begun as a personal challenge. I set out to run 2.4km everyday for 100 consecutive days. As this challenge has now finished, I’ve reflected back on the past 100 days and realized how much growth it has given me. I have become the fittest & healthiest I’ve ever been in my life with a drive to keep moving forward. Naturally, I don’t want to stop, so I’ve decided to go bigger!
1000 consecutive days of running at least 2.4km everyday! I will be carrying on from the 100 days I’ve already consecutively run 🏃♂️
On top of that, knowing this will be done over a 3 year period, It seems like a great idea to try & raise money for charity. The charity I have chosen is NZ Red Cross with a focus on the money going to the NZ disaster fund. The amount I’m aiming to raise is 1,000,000.
I’d also like to raise awareness for mental health. I know first hand that running & exercise in general can significantly improve mental health. Having something to aim for and work towards is a powerful way to motivate yourself & give you drive.
So.. I challenge anyone and everyone reading this…
I challenge you to run at least 1km a day for 100 consecutive days. Either that or do something difficult to you for 💯 consecutive days. Upload your progress daily to hold yourself accountable if you wish. I’d love to see & share people’s journeys too so tag me on Instagram! @b_r_prouting
I ask that you then pass this challenge on. Share it with someone you feel is deserving 💯💪🏼❤️🙏🏼
