The power of the blue t-shirt. Nina passed to a yellow belt at her Judo grading on Sunday morning. Ironically 5 minutes after this photo Nina had a sugar low (using up all of her glucose supplies). On a positive we know she put in a big effort to to burn up all her energy. This is the battle one in every four hundred kiwi kids tackle daily carrying out regular sports and activites and then dropping dangerously low.
ONE MONTH ONE SHIRT ONE CURE Saturday the 1st of November was Day one of the t-shirt challenge. A full day in the mountains tackling the Coast 2 Coast run section (through the Deception and Minga). With 26 odd river crossings and a bit of rain, I reckon with that much water my t-shirt shouldn't need a wash. Sundays challenge for Ross was sleeping on the couch. Thanks for all those who have donated all ready Nina has been counting and is very excited.
ONE MONTH ONE SHIRT ONE CURE Jo Moodie and I took my Chasing a Cure for Type 1 Diabetes t-shirt out to do the 10km Boulder Bay Classic yesturday. My heart sunk when I saw my race number 111 A number no parents wants to have to call for their child. We had a great run and a nice warm up for my 21km Half Marathon in Queenstown later in the month
