Making a difference one paw at a time! Kait Scott's fundraiser for Paws 4 Life
Hamilton, Waikato
While kittens and puppies are cute, organisations that help these fur babies face major expenses associated with them such as desexing, vaccinations, microchipping, vet care and food. They also are often volunteer run and do it because they want to make a difference.
Paws 4 Life is an amazing organisation in the Waikato who's mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome companion animals who have no one else to speak up for them. This involves taking action when stray cats are found, ensuring they have the medical attention they need, and that they are fixed/spayed before they get adopted out. Desexing animals not only helps prevent unwanted future litters, but helps prevent diseases and cancer. Microchipping means pets are more likely to be returned to their families. Paws4Life not only help the fur babies in need but make sure they are set before they go to their furever home.
I am organising this fundraiser for a university assignment for my business degree at Waikato university, and chose Paws 4 Life as I have seen the effort they make in the community to help all they can. As a pet owner myself with two cats who make every day better, I appreciate the effort Paws 4 Life makes to ensure other animals can go into loving homes. Too often I have seen posts on Facebook about stray kittens being found and then seeing Paws4Life has taken them in. I have seen first hand the impact they have been able to make on our community.
Thank you everyone! 5 August 2023
Just want to say a final thank you to all of you that donated! While we didn't reach our goal and what we raised will not go far with kitten season approaching, it still helps and is very appreciated by Paws 4 Life!
Thanks heaps for your support!
