Just want to say a final thank you to all of you that donated! While we didn't reach our goal and what we raised will not go far with kitten season approaching, it still helps and is very appreciated by Paws 4 Life!
Shout out to Jay at Paws 4 Life for letting me visit today! It's a really great space for the cats where they have their own spaces but can also get time to roam around and socialize! I was also spoilt with lots of attention from all the cats currently there! I've shared a photo of Chris who just want to be the only cat and get all of your attention and a female kitten who melted my heart and was just so sweet!
I also learned a lot about the operations of Paws 4 Life, some of the challenges and things they do for the community beyond the cats!
Did you know Paws 4 Life is Hamilton's only cat shelter and we don't have any dog shelters? That puts a huge pressure on Paws 4 Life especially when kitten season starts in October! However they still help where they can by donating dog food to people who are struggling with the cost of living, and helping arrange discounted cat desexing!
Covid created so many challenges such as people not being able to get their pets desexed and they are seeing the aftermath but are pushing forward and giving so much love to these animals!
