Operation Blue Mullet

A while back, two of my Field Asset Engineers were in the office; One having a mullet and the other blue hair. Seeing them together, I had a eureka moment and decided I would combine their hairdos and get a blue mullet.”

But rather than simply making a fashion statement or embarrassing my 9yr old Daughter; there’s a very personal motivation behind my upcoming hairstyle.

“In 2004, I was diagnosed with severe depression, and at the lowest part of that journey, I came to a place where I planned to not be around anymore. Thanks to some timely words from a friend, I’m still here, and I’m keen to support others going through their own battles.”

I am hoping to raise funds for the Key to Life Charitable trust, an organization aligned to Gumboot Friday. “Operation Blue Mullet” took place on 8th June so check out the photos on this page of my journey from dark to Blue.
