Origin Earth's, Joanie Williams, is competing in IRONMAN Taupo in March 2020 with all donations going to Nourished for Nil.

Hawke's Bay

Origin Earth owner and director, Joanie Williams, is in training for the 36th IRONMAN Taupo on 7 March 2020.

Joanie would love you to sponsor her with all donations going to the local non-profit organisation Nourished for Nil.

When asked “Why IRONMAN? And Why Nourished for Nil?” Joanie replied “IRONMAN – it happened by chance, in mid- May a good friend of mine Sarah came into Origin Earth for her milk bottle refills and happened to mention that she was doing IRONMAN Taupo in March 2020 and suggested that we do it together. I said, ‘Let me think about it’ then almost immediately said ‘Yes’! So, I was in and committed and started training the very next day. Now, those that know me, know that I love a challenge, well this is a “real challenge”. Training is coming along, but I’ve got a long way to go!

As for Nourished for Nil they are already a charity that Origin Earth supports, and I wanted my IRONMAN challenge to have a purpose.

I am hoping that our customers both retail and wholesale, as well as our suppliers, will get behind me and spread the word so that this very worthwhile organisation can benefit from my efforts and receive much needed funds to enable them to keep doing their great work.
