I am raising money from cutting my hair for two great charities and donating my hair to make wigs
Auckland
My name is Paige O’Neil and I am a year 9 student. With the inspiration from my friend Emily, I have decided to donate my hair to FREEDOM WIGS so that it can be made into wigs for the people who are suffering from Alopecia or Cancer.
By setting up this Givealittle page, I want to inspire people that when you cut your hair you can choose to do it for a good cause. There are two additional charities that I want to give the money that I raise to.
The first charity is PARKINSONS NZ as my great-uncle Roger was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and passed away at the end of 2018. When I went down to Hamilton to see him, I could see that Parkinson’s had a massive impact on his life.
BREAST CANCER NZ is important to me because my Grandma Catherine died in 2002 after fighting breast cancer. Unfortunately, I never actually got the chance to meet her, I know she would have loved all of her wonderful grandchildren.
Paige (13yo) is donating the money raised from cutting her hair to 2 charities that are important to her. Her hair will be donated to Freedom Wigs
