Given by 82 generous donors in 19 days

Peter with friends / family are participating in Round the Bridges Hamilton to raise funds for Parkinson's Wakato.

Waikato

I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease 8 yrs ago and due to fairly rapid progress of the Disease I have had to retire from my work as a Paediatrician. Due to the PD (Parkinson's Disease) certain activities have become difficult such as Running. However I saw an opportunity to put the old running shoes on and participate in the Around The Bridges 6km run to raise awareness of Parkinson's and to help the local Support Group. Parkinson's Waikato provide wonderful support to members and carers; funding educational meetings, participation in activities and outings including dancing, gym and singing.

Peter Heron's involvement (page creator)

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
