It is important to me to support a young girl's initiative and passion to still have Hector's dolphins swimming in Akaroa and around Christchurch.

I live in Christchurch and everyone knows and loves the Hector's dolphin which lives in Akaroa and around the South Island. But most don't realise that these gorgeous dolphins are threatened with extinction - I decided to do something about it and have joined Aescleah doing the Walk for Hector's in March.

Had a kids school camp at Pigeon Bay 2 weekends ago and what do know a group of parents ended up swimming with a Hector dolphin just a wee way out from the old jetty...of course they got back to camp and clearly it was a moment that'll be forever etched in their minds...go the Hector!!!
